Is the world spinning more and more out of control? Do we live in what the Bible calls the last days? Is it important that believers recognize the signs of the time in which we live? In a world with thousands of voices and impressions, people need to decide what to heed. Hopefully it will not be trendy media commentaries, Hollywood, or entertaining novels, but will be the Scriptures. For thousands of years the Book of books has provided us with previews of our future. Are we prepared for that future? This web site provides references to places in the Bible and to more extensive Bible studies that talk about the future of every individual who was, is, or will become a Christian (as the followers of Jesus Christ are called since Antioch in Acts 11:26). There will be a "day" in the future that the big Wedding takes place. This marriage of the Lamb will be a heavenly celebration formalizing the eternal relationship between the Son of God and all who believed Him. By then, not only Christ but all believers will have new imperishable bodies that are astonishingly different from the aching ones we know only too well. God's plan includes
not just our personal transformation, but also the rebirth of planet Earth.
Hard to believe, perhaps, for people who already have a difficult time
trusting God for less spectacular miracles, but that does not make it
any less real. In the book of Luke, Jesus clearly predicted the destruction of Jerusalem by the Roman army of Titus when He said to His disciples: "When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near . . ." The disciples, who were awed by the magnificent temple in Jerusalem, asked Him to specify when these things would take place. The Roman assault of Jerusalem came only 35 years later, in AD 68, and continued for two years until the entire city, including that magnificent temple, was utterly destroyed. And what happened to the Jews . . . Luke 21:24 After Jerusalem and the Holy Land were destroyed by the Romans, they were further trampled by the Byzantines, Muslims, Crusaders, Turks and British. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles UNTIL the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. Jerusalem is not trampled
anymore! It is no longer in the hands of foreign powers. In 1948 Israel
became a nation again, but did not have its beloved capital back until
1967, after the Six-Day War. More signs are coming, but we may have witnessed the biggest sign already. Luke
21:25-26 The return of Jesus Christ may be near: [27] "Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory." Be prepared; do not act as if you did not know. [28] "But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." [29] Then He told them a parable: "Behold the fig tree and all the trees; [30] as soon as they put forth leaves, you see it and know for yourselves that summer is now near. [31] "So you also, when you see these things happening, recognize that the kingdom of God is near." His words for people of that generation: [32] "Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all things take place. [33] "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away. [34] "Be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap; [35] for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth. [36] "But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man." Jesus
Christ is coming again; endure,
